We follow nature

To gain top quality honey with specific characteristics, our hives follow the course of nature in an area little influenced by human activity. Early in spring, they start in the rough Alpilles mountains to profit from the blooming of rosemary shrubs. Later, they travel to selected areas as distant as for example to the Ardèche for chestnut honey or to the alpine region near the Italian border for the flower honey. With the exception of lavender fields, locations are distant from commercial intensive agriculture.
Today’s technology and transport devices allow to extend the range of the traditional method of “transhumance” to the best locations in an environmentally friendly way.
